After high school, I attended Northeast for 2 years, during which I was in an automobile accident that crushed my right femur. I took 10 years and 8 surgeries to correct but now I am fine. I had majored in physical therapy at Northeast, but due to the accident, I was told by my surgeons that I could not do that. So, I used my science training to earn a degree in Biology and general science. I also attended Mississippi State and Ole Miss, but obtained my degree from Blue Mountain College. I have been teaching Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Zoology, Botany, and AP biology to gifted students at Kossuth High School for 12 years. I really enjoy that.

In 1984, I married Mike Henry. We had a son, John, born in 1988. We divorced in 1990. I am now married to Mike Meeks and we too have a son, Josh, who was born in 1993. Mike and his parents bought the house we used to live in at Kossuth, so I am back on the same hill I grew up on in Kossuth.

I really enjoy going to football games with my boys and watching them play sports. My husband drag races and I enjoy watching him. His car is really fast and it scares me sometimes when it pops wheelies, but we all have fun. See the pictures of our race car below. Between having a fulltime job with all the extra activities associated with that, and being a fulltime mom of two very active boys, I don't have alot of free time. You all can be assured that I WILL find the time to see everyone this summer at the reunion. I can't wait.
